Ayada Maldives Resort

Located in the north-central Indian Ocean are the stunning Maldives islands. There are about 1,200 small coral islands and sandbanks. The capital is known as the island of Male which is Southwest of Sri Lanka.

Let’s face it, travelling anywhere from Australia can take a while because we are in the middle of nowhere (Lol) the flight was from Melbourne > Colombo > Male > Boat ride to heaven on earth. Literally.

I can’t even explain the Maldives to you, it’s something that you have to see for yourself. Yes, it is everything you have heard about and so much more, it is what you see in the images (No filter needed).

I was lucky enough to stay at the Ayada Maldives Resort which is the only resort on this small secluded island. My stay included 3 nights in the Ocean Villa with Pool and 3 nights in the Sunset Beach Suit.

Ocean Villa with Pool

This was by far my most favourite resort room experience in my life. The island is so small that we were given bikes to get around. You have to bike along the wooden runway over the crystal-clear water to arrive at your room door only to walk through to complete luxury. The room was massive and included an outdoor terrace with outdoor plunge pool, ocean hammocks, and an uninterrupted view of the horizon and direct ocean lagoon access.

Sunset Beach Suit

This beach front suit was absolutely to die for it has a large living space and large bathroom with a beauty bar. There are also large indoor and outdoor showers including large terrace with a beautiful garden and pool to provide privacy and is only a step and a half from being directly on the luxurious white sand beach.

My overall stay was absolutely amazing, the service was impeccable. There was a buffet breakfast and dinner every night and it was so fresh and delicious (Best buffet I have EVER had).

If you are travelling to the Maldives I highly recommend staying at Ayada Maldives it is an experience not to be missed!
