No Place Like Byron

I recently had the pleasure of staying in Byron Bay for a couple of nights.

Byron is a very popular coastal town located in the Southern eastern side of Australia in

New South Wales. People love it mostly because of its very relaxed atmosphere, beaches,

scuba diving and surfing hot spots. It makes for a great holiday destination for international

travelers but also aussie locals !

I’ve decided to do an accommodation review on two of my favourite air BnBs to stay

while visiting. I feel when choosing accommodation it can be so hit and miss sometimes

regarding pricing and quality. Here is a look at two places I recommend checking

out and staying at when visiting Byron Bay.

This loft style air bnb is by far one of the most creative and artistic styled places I have stayed in.

The design of Cactimicasa is an all in one design, this one bedroom loft completely open, there are

no walls within the loft which separate you from the kitchen, lounge or bedroom. It is very unique in

its own way, the floors and walls are cement, the ceiling is raised to create a more open and

free-living space. This unique air bnb has beautiful artwork which has been designed by Vicki-Lee @Vickileelee,

this artwork is truly one of a kind and is so creative. The bedroom has gorgeous oak wooden floating shelves

and hanging lamps, a queen bed with soft linen with layered textures. Outside is a cement balcony

which joins onto Edwards and co hair salon, there are dozens of cacti all shapes and sizes with a

huge wooden table where you can sit for lunch and soak up the sun. Oh.. and also, a massive art piece

which has been painted onto the cement wall, you cannot miss it !

During my time in Byron Bay, I visited Bask and Stow which is a cute mid-century style villa

tucked away in Byron. Surrounded by tall palm trees and wooden walk ways, there are 4 boutique

villas which throw a very tropical vibe. My villa was a one bedroom and one bathroom, the

bathroom was very striking, it had a huge bathtub which was perfect for soaking and the villa also

had a small tiled kitchen. It was completely air coned which was amazing because I was visiting in

February and it was so hot, luckily for me bask and stow had a plunge pool to cool off in while soaking

up some sun.
